We had a much loved dog come in to see us this week. I took this video to show how the dirty teeth almost fell out when probed.

The owner came to the vet because the pet was sneezing. This was caused by the gum disease progressing to a point that it rotted a hole from the mouth, around and under the teeth, to the nasal cavity.

This poor pet was suffering terribly because her teeth were not looked after. We understand that dog owners are often not aware of why they should look after their pet’s teeth. So please share this and start to clean your pet’s teeth by brushing, using Maxiguard wipes, gel or spray.

If you feel that you are not able to do this, ask your vet about Sanos sealant and a dental diet, this will protect the periodontal tissues for six months. Even as the calculus reaccumulates on the crown the precious structures below the gum line are protected.
