Here is an example of a much loved pet who is lucky enough to have an owner who understands how important it is to look after his teeth.

This animal had not been to the vet for three years. There is very little build up on the teeth as the owner has cleaned his teeth by brushing with a pet toothbrush. The important thing to see here is that the gums are a nice coral pink colour. There is no little red line around the teeth or any swelling. The breath is neutral and does not smell.

Brushing your pet’s teeth at least every three days can add up to five years to their life.
