The result of letting calculus build up

This tooth belonged to a dog that a veterinarian treated. It had a lot of calculus which is mineralised plaque bacteria. When this was cleaned off, you could see right between the roots of the teeth. The disease was so bad that the bone around the tooth roots had been lost and the tooth was so loose after cleaning that it simply fell out along with eight more.

This animal was in a lot of pain and prior to treatment showed no signs. Post treatment the pet bounced around like a puppy. If your dog has brown or yellow teeth, get them cleaned by a veterinarian and start to look after them with a daily routine. Its important to be realistic about what you can do.

Brushing is the best way with Petosan pet toothbrushes. If brushing is not for you then try some dental wipes or oral spray.
