Healing properties of Maxiguard help Benji

Benji was a much loved dog who was squealing, crying and constantly pawing his nose and mouth. His dedicated owners took him to their vet to try and find out what the problem was.

The diagnosis was chronic ulcerative periodontal stomatitis (CUPS or kissing lesions). This disease is a inflammatory reaction and occurs wherever the tissues in the mouth come into contact with plaque bacteria. You can see this on the image.

Benji was placed on anti-inflammatory and antibiotic medication. The owners had many visits to the veterinarian over the next 18 months and Benji was still in pain, his mouth was almost always full of ulcers and some days he just whimpered all day. After 24 months of vet visits and no improvement, Benji’s owners had to make a heartbreaking decision. If nothing could be done to help him they would have to put him to sleep as his life was miserable and he was always in pain. The monthly visits to the vet had also cost $1,000’s of dollars.

Luckily another dog owner recommended Maxiguard to Benji’s family when they confided in her about the decision they were faced with. As you can imagine they were very upset and facing a terrible choice.

Benji and his family tried Maxiguard.

After only five days Benji started to perk up. He started to eat well and his ulcers were still visible but starting to heal. After two weeks he was a new dog, happily playing and full of life.  Maxiguard contains a bio-available zinc that penetrates the cell walls of bacterial plaque and quickly kills it. Removing the bacteria will stop the reaction and allow the tissue to heal.

Benji  has a pea sized drop of maxiguard applied to his upper molar teeth each day and remains symptom free and happy. If the family forget to put it in for three days or more, the symptoms start to return as the plaque accumulates enough to set off a reaction.
